The Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine is seeking to appoint the post of Dean of Medical Education to lead the undergraduate medical education programs at King’s College London.
Reporting to the Executive Dean of the Faculty, the Dean of Medical Education is responsible for the successful delivery of undergraduate medical education programs, in collaboration with colleagues within the faculty, in the wider King’s College community of London and in NHS Trusts partners. The appointee will inspire students, staff and partners and lead the training of the next generation of culturally competent doctors with a global problem-solving mind and fully trained to make a positive contribution to clinical practice in the UK. united and worldwide. The appointee will lead an engaged team and build and strengthen their network across King’s as well as medical schools in the UK and beyond.
The Dean of Medical Education is responsible for ensuring that medical programs are at the forefront of educational innovation, that learning outcomes are maximized for a highly diverse student body, and that the understanding and expertise of medical students in patient care and health are nationally developed. and internationally. The Faculty is in the process of establishing a medical school at the Southern Science and Technology University (SUSTech) in China, and the appointee will work closely with the new head of this entity.
