NMB donates $ 50 million in schools and medical equipment to the public


Speaking in Temeke Municipality after receiving the donations, Dar es Salaam Zone Director Badru Iddi said the bank supports the government’s efforts to improve the education and health sectors.

“At NMB, we understand the importance of investing in communities, especially in the education and health sectors,” Iddi said after handing over 287 sheets, 51 desks, five desktops to four schools. primary, 50 offices at Magawa secondary school in Mkuranga district and medical items at Nganje village health center in the same district.

The NMB Dar zone manager further pledged to continue supporting the education and health sectors this year, in line with the bank’s corporate social responsibility plans.

Speaking after receiving the donations, Temeke City Manager Lusubilo Mwakabib paid tribute to the NMB for its support, saying it would go a long way in supporting the government’s efforts to improve the education and health sectors. .

“I urge the workers of the municipality of Temeke to continue working with NMB, which is a genuine and responsible corporate citizen”

Mwakabibi noted while promising the country’s largest commercial bank to also support efforts to improve the health sector.

On behalf of herself and other beneficiaries, Mabatini Primary School Principal Victoria Mumwi said the donations would go a long way to alleviating the shortages of educational materials in most of the country’s public schools.

“We promise NMB that our results this year will be much better with this timely support,” Mumwi promised.

Meanwhile, in Mkuranga district, the head of government affairs, Vicky Bishubo, also donated educational and medical materials to support public facilities, while in Dodoma, the central zone manager of the bank, Nsolo Mlozi, made a similar donation to cap a weekend of charity by the bank.
